Thank you for signing up for the ATA Specialist Council Carousel at Mount Royal University (MRU). Below you will find info to help you get to MRU and prepare for the day ahead.
EVENT LOCATION
The event will be based out of the Riddell Library and Learning Centre (RLLC) at Mount Royal University, located at 74 Mt Royal Cir SW, Calgary, AB T3E 7N5. The Ideas Lounge at the east end of the main floor will be where the check-in desk, catering, exhibit tables and sessions will be located.
SCHEDULE OVERVIEW
Please check in at the registration table when you arrive.
8:30–9:00 AM - Registration, exhibitor visit time, coffee/tea and baked goods! (RLLC Ideas Lounge)
9:00–10:15 AM - Breakout Session Block 1 (RLLC first floor classrooms)
10:15–10:45 AM - Transition break and exhibitor visit time (RLLC Ideas Lounge)
10:45 AM–12:00 PM - Breakout Session Block 2 (RLLC first floor classrooms)
12:00–12:45 PM - Exhibitor visit time and free lunch! (RLLC Ideas Lounge)
12:45–2:00 PM - Closing plenary (RLLC Ideas Lounge)

GETTING TO MOUNT ROYAL UNIVERSITY
Driving/Carpooling
Park in Lot 6A beside the RLLC or in the parkade below the building. There are pay stations inside the RLLC entrance. You can also download the HotSpot parking app (https://htsp.ca/) and pay for your parking that way. The HotSpot Zone # for Lot 6A is Zone 2000.
Calgary Transit
Use the Plan a Trip feature on the Calgary Transit website (https://www.calgarytransit.com/home.html) to find the best way to get to the Mount Royal University Station. RLLC is a short walk away.

There will be lots of opportunities for you to connect with teachers from the ATA’s specialist councils. Make sure to take time to visit them at the exhibit tables. Many of them will have swag, snacks, and prizes to win!
If you stay until the end of the closing session from 1:45–2:00 pm, you’ll find out how you can be entered to win a $100 gift card simply by signing up for an ATA specialist council!
